When I worked at Woolworths ~12 years ago, we stopped accepting cheques (most shops did). People went apeshit about it. Twelve. Years. Ago.

I understand it’s useful for businesses to send/accept but are there any retailers that still accept cheques?

Last time I received a cheque, I walked in the bank like a lost child and just handed it to the first employee I saw.
